Hello again to all who follow my sorry attempts to stay up to date on DA! I apologize for such a long break (again) in posts... Life has been busy, in both good and bad ways, and I haven't taken the time to write any new journals...
So some updates are in order!
Fanime (wow so long ago now T_T) was very fun! Long lines aside, I had a lot of fun in Lara Croft and even dressed up like Yohji for a day! Likely going to retire Yohji now, or maybe just hold onto him for weekend adventures, especially since I finally live near my Aya, Ken, and Omi... I will post some of my Lara Croft pictures soon... I want to edit them a bit, they're just simple iPhone pictures, but the location was in a hotel, and I'm hoping to convince some lovely person to replace my background with a jungle or something more apprpriate!
Haha, funny Lara Croft tid-bit... Walked around the who con with a real climbing axe and working airsoft 1911. Wasn't stopped a once... Granted I'm not brandishing or swinging them about, but it was great to not get hasseled!
Moving along from Fanime, I skipped AX because I bought a car and had to travel a bit to pick her up... What car? Why thank you for asking! Its a 1967 Impala Sport Sedan, aka Dean's Impala from Supernatural! Oh yes, I went there... After spending the past three years pining over his lovely Impala, I finally found one (not being sold by the people in TN who are snatching them up and reselling them for over their value) and bought it! She's a work in progress for sure, but her guts are amazing, and aside from obvious cosmetic needs, she should be convention ready inside of a year... Well hopefully! X3
I am thinking about starting up a fundme for the Impala, not sure exactly what to offer yet, but I will post more as I come up with ideas. Maybe bumper stickers, cosplay photos, or even appearances/photoshoots with the completed Impala. I want other fan's to be able to enjoy the Impala as much as I do! It's seriously an indescribable experience to be in the car! I will post more and even pictures and links to my youtube videos as I load them to document the progress and explain a lot of the requirements to create a replica.

Fanime
Trying ever so hard to make Fanime work! I am moving LITERALLY during Fanime, but am going to hopefully make it to San Diego prior to the convention and head north as soon as I drop my dog and cat with a friend.
Military moves are a bizarre thing in that they overcompensate for the hassle of moving yet don't really give you time in the right areas... An example of what I mean; I work on the day I leave, then have eight days to drive from NC to CA, but then have to go to work on my "arrival" date. No time on either end and twice the time I need in the middle. Luckily that middle time should allow me to head to Fanime! Yay!
As for Fanime, I w
Sakura Con was FUN!
I had a total blast a Sakura con! I was able to sell quite a few mlp necklaces for some pretty great convention prices! I have a few left and will be posting more soon, so please check them out on my etsy page, any sales right now are a big help! In fact I will have a few of each of the mane six posted in the next week, so be sure to snag one if you are looking for a specific pony!
I decided against a Friday Cosplay and stuck with modern Katar on Sat, fem Sam Winchester (Mooooose!) on Sat evening, and Lara Croft on Sunday. Lara Croft was super fun to wear and I hope to only add to the costume in the future (I will wear it again!).
All that
Sakura Con Update 2.0
So Sakura con is a 100% go! Leave, plane tickets, and con badges are all lined up as well as my final cosplay list! A few changes have been made as I have been completely unable to sew thanks to my shoulder... Luckily my shoulder is getting better, its just a very, VERY slow process... The shoulder problems combined with attending a vendor table additionally led me to discard plans of bringing some of my more elaborate yet complete costumes.
So all that aside, allow me to introduce my much lazier than usual cosplay list for Sakura Con 2013!

Some Changes...
Still moving... but to California! So very excited to be close to my friends FINALLY! Packing is slow but I actually have made a lot of progress, something I am shocked by... I have had two shoulder surgeries in December and January due to a torn rotator cuff and some calcifications throughout several of the tendons. Healing has been a SLOW process, but my doc thinks I am solely on the road to recovery right now, which is the best news I've had since receiving word I would have to have the second surgery.
That being said, I am going to head to Seattle for Sakura Con! I have been a ghost on the con circuit since Fanime so I am stoked to final
